Air Jordan 13 Retro “Black Cat” Release Dates

Air Jordan 13 Retro “Black Cat” Release Dates,The 1997–1998 season was the last one that Michael Jordan played as a part of the Bulls, and that was when Jordan Brand released Jordan 13. Jordan 13 featured a mastermind design, the credit for which goes to Tinker Hatfield. A considerable number of Jordan shoe fans consider the Air Jordan 13 as the best design model by Jordan Brand.

For the first and only time, a hologram was featured on Jordan 13 to mimic a Panther’s eye. Tinker Hatfield got inspired from the paws of a Panther to design the outsole, since Michael Jordan himself was frequently referred to as “Black Cat” by his fellow NBA players. In fact, the inspiration for the rest of the pair’s design also came from the Black Panther, which is why the shoes were so lightweight and responsive. A carbon-fiber spring plate and a sleek Zoom Air was also featured by the pair.

All the previous Jordan shoes had been made in Taiwan, but Jordan 12 was the very first made-in-China pair, and consequently, many copies of the pair began to appear. Some very ugly colorways of fake Air Jordan 13s began to spread. Nonetheless, Jordan Brand did not stop there and released 2 Retro colorways of the Jordan 13, including the Black/Red colorway on December 22nd.

Although there is no news of about any new Jordan 13 releases for 2014, but a player exclusive Dwyane Wade PEs colorway was unveiled around 3 months ago.The Air Jordan 13 Black Cat will use the Black Panther inspiration for this upcoming Air Jordan 13 release set for January 2017.

If the Air Jordan 13 couldn’t be sleeker than it already is, the iconic silhouette actually managed to use inspirations from the Black Panther and pulled it off throughout the shoe. Both the paw prints on the outsole and the hologram – which when you turn off the lights shine up to mimic a panther’s eye, all resembles the Black Cat.

This release features a full Black upper with 3M reflective detailing that also includes matching 3M laces. Completing the “Black Cat” motif is a solid Black rubber outsole and a Black Cat logo on the insole.

Air Jordan 11 Low “Columbia” Release Dates

Air Jordan 11 Low “Columbia” Release Dates,“Columbia Blue” happens to be one of the two official school colors of Columbia University, the other being white. Back in the 19th century, the Philolexian Society and Peithologian Society were two literary societies that were the core of the university’s student life. The Columbia Blue hue was originally drawn from the Philolexian Society. Columbia University’s Office of University Publications defines Columbia Blue as Pantone 290, but the hue used by Columbia Athletics is is slightly darker version of Columbia Blue defined as Pantone 292. Jordan Brand has often used “Columbia Blue” on their sneakers and this year it will be appearing over the Air Jordan 11 Low.

On the other hand, not only will the upcoming Air Jordan 11 be a low-top version, it will also feature a greater amount of the Columbia Blue hue, and it will be joining the Spring/Summer Air Jordan releases 2017. Not too long ago, Nike published official photos of this sneaker, and now Instagram user @sneakerer also shared a few. Sneakerheads may not know this but this sneaker is basically a remastered rendition since Jordan Brand dropped it once before, back in 2001. The ballistic nylon base of this sneaker essentially plain White, while Columbia Blue covers the patent leather overlays running around its mudguards. It is also equipped with all-White midsoles and icy blue translucent outsoles.

There is actually already an OG “Columbia” colorway of the regular Air Jordan 11 model that Jordan Brand had dropped back in February 1996 and it had originally retailed at a price of $125. The Air Jordan 11 “Columbia” was a predominantly all-White sneaker with clean ballistic nylon uppers with matching plain White-colored yet glossy patent leather mudguards. The sneaker was also equipped with carbon fiber sheaths, carbon fiber spring plates, Huarache inner sleeves and a quick lace system. The colorway’s signature “Columbia Blue” hue after which it is nicknamed appeared merely over its icy translucent Air soles.

While it has been quite a while since the regular Air Jordan 11 “Columbia” last hit the shelves, it is a good thing that Jordan Brand is bringing back this low-top variation. According to rumors, the returning Air Jordan 11 Low “Columbia” will arrive at select Jordan Brand and Nike retailers somewhere in May 2017, and its retail price will apparently be $175.
